Now seems like a good time to mention this. On 15 September, my friend Laura and I will take part in the Edinburgh Kilt Walk. It has been a while since I took part in a fundraising endeavour, I think the last time was in 2006 when I did the Swordathon, and I’m always a little bit reluctant to go out there asking people to donate to support crazy little stunts like this but this year we’re doing this in support of a charity that means a lot to us (don’t they always?)
Our chosen charity is the Scottish Association for Mental Health, they do tremendous work to support young people in difficult times, raise awareness of mental health related issues, work on suicide prevention and many other aspects, which we fully support.
If you feel like helping out, we have a minimum target of £200 and every little donation helps. I promise to post pictures and keep you all updated with the walk. You can give whatever you feel comfortable with at this link here. If you could also reshare this post on your social media accounts this would be very appreciated. Laura and I are very grateful for your support. And if you can’t donate that’s fine too, moral support is always appreciated as well. If you’ll be in Edinburgh on the 15th of September, come and cheer us if you can (we hope the weather will be kind but this is Scotland after all)
