That there is water on Mars is not exactly new but so far we've only known that water to exist in the form of ice located at the poles. Now scientists have discovered a potentially large body of water underneath the martian pole in liquid state.

Could there be life on Mars in these deep salty lakes? Perhaps but it's not likely to launch spaceships to come and invade us any time soon.
