Interesting. I'll be one of the 1.5 million speakers in the last census. And definitely diglossic. I'd never really write it though a could if a wantid ken, bit there's no really a standard spellin.

No really, there's that many varieties. Fife's nothing like Ayrshire, accent has a lot to do with it, and then dialect features, differ so much. Fife's no even like Embrugh. A whole continuum goes right down the East Coast, and changes dramatically within miles.
yeah I know, and I told him as much on the video, he doesn't even mention Doric in there.
Aye fit like.. Doric is another one all together. I went to university in Aberdeen. Quite a learning experience
And he can't pronounce Gaelic properly…
