There is a greater intelligence in All Things

As is often the case there is more than one meaning to this sentence. For my 100th post to this collection I wanted to say a few words about what I think is now my all-time favourite episode of +The X-Files 7×17 All Things

This is one of many Scully-centric episodes and tells the story of how she finds a former lover dying of a heart condition due to a mix-up in x-rays she was collecting for a case. The message to take from this episode is that everything happens for a reason and the choices we make are what lead us to where we are here and now. And although the word isn't uttered in the episode, I recognise the very notion of what Karma means, cause and effect, choices and consequences, the most fundamental law that makes the world spin.

It's also worth noting that this is also very likely the episode in which William was conceived, as the opening scene strongly suggests.

+The X-Files never was just about chasing little green men, many episodes have very powerful messages and this, to me, is what makes this show so relateable.
