I don’t have a lot of time to do a big write up so I’ll stick to the points that struck me the most:
- Skye’s dream looks ominous but did anyone else skipped a heartbeat seeing May and Coulson holding a baby? #philinda shippers, this was for you 😉
- Skye has been trained well, she can hold her ground against Agent 33 who seems to have May’s face permanently etched on her own.
- Fitz and Simmons have some unresolved issues but by the end of the episode it seems all they have to do is start working together again and rebuild trust.
- Raina and Skye aren’t aliens, they’re … evolved. Seriously this kind of talk is like talking about X-Men without mentioning the X-Men or mutants for that matter. Though we all know Inhumans are the MCU’s substitute for mutants to some degree.
- Bobbi has a secret she keeps from Hunter. Like Mack said, there’s a storm coming, we just need to work out where it will blow.
- Mack gets a +100 on his power roll, and all he had to do was brush some dust off an ancient stone. What do you reckon happened to those guards in the legend? Did they just become inhabitants of the city? Henry Simmons is credited to appear in next week’s episode, hopefully not as a dead body at the bottom of the shaft, I’d really like to know what the hell happened to him. Do we think he’s “evolved” too?
- I’m not convinced the city is Attilan. If it is it would need to be mobile somehow and I don’t see how they’d do that while being mostly buried under Puerto Rico. My guess is it’s more likely a variant of Orollan, especially if it turns out the city is deserted.
- Ward wastes no time in double crossing Whitehall, in fact things move so fast you’d think the season finale is next week. What the hell does that say for what’s coming after Agent Carter?
So how did you guys like the episode? I was glad to finally see someone gaining powers, albeit losing themselves in the process…
