Hi, I’m Jean-Loup. I’m a composer and musical storyteller based in the central belt of Scotland. I have written music for various media such as animation and AV projects, musical theatre soundtracks and sound effects, library music as well as my own songs.
The styles I write in range from orchestral to electronic, folk, ethnic and I like to experiment with fusion styles. Musically speaking, my influences started in a mix of classic rock and heavy metal and film music of the 80s and 90s. In time, I came to be influenced by more eclectic genres such as early music, folk music from Finland and Scotland and classic French electronica.
